Professional Development Conference – July 28, 2017
Our professional development day will be delivered by our teachers from within the I CAN team and our mentors and mentees on the Autism Spectrum. Any teacher from an I CAN School will be able to attend the day at a discounted rate.
Each session we will have a strong focus on practical strategies that can be adapted to the classroom experience. The conference will cover:
- What is the I CAN Network? What is Quiet Magic Method?
- Rethinking and understanding Autism – student panel discussion
- Primary and Secondary School breakout sessions
- Classroom tools and strategies
- Teachers in the I CAN Network – teacher/student panel discussion
- Student motivation
- Partnering with parents
- Q&A with audience
Time and Date: 9am – 3pm, Friday 28th July
Venue: Aquinas College (O’Driscoll Centre), 46 Great Ryrie Street, Ringwood, 3134.
Cost: Early Bird $175 (After 30th June, $199); I CAN School® Early Bird: $125 (After 30th June, $150)
